Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps

Unless is available as a remote MCP server. Connect it to an AI app with your normal Unless login and the app can work in your Unless account for you: review content library changes, look into conversations and insights, update procedures and audiences, publish your help center and more. You never create or paste an API key.

The MCP server URL is:

https://mcp.unless.com/mcp
  1. You add Unless as a connector in your AI app.
  2. The app sends you to the Unless login. Log in like you do for the dashboard, including SSO and multi-factor authentication when your account uses them.
  3. Unless shows which app asks for access and which account it will get. Use “Switch account” when you have access to more than one account.
  4. Approve, and you are sent back to the app, connected.

The app acts as you, within the account you approved. It has exactly your role and permissions, and it can never do more than you could in the dashboard. When you are removed from the account, the connection stops working.

The app asks you for confirmation before every change it makes in your account, like updating a procedure, denying content library changes or publishing your help center.

On claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings > Connectors, choose Add custom connector, enter Unless as the name and https://mcp.unless.com/mcp as the URL, and click Connect.

In Claude Code, run:

claude mcp add --transport http unless https://mcp.unless.com/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose Authenticate.

Open Settings > Apps & Connectors, enable developer mode under Advanced settings if your workspace requires it, and create a connector with https://mcp.unless.com/mcp as the MCP server URL and OAuth as the authentication.

Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth works. Add a server with the URL https://mcp.unless.com/mcp and the HTTP (streamable HTTP) transport. The app opens the Unless login the first time it connects.

For Cursor, add this to .cursor/mcp.json:

{
"mcpServers": {
"unless": { "url": "https://mcp.unless.com/mcp" }
}
}

For VS Code, add this to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
"servers": {
"unless": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.unless.com/mcp" }
}
}

The tools match the REST API: every endpoint that works with an API key is available as a tool. Most tools work on one workspace, so the app first lists your workspaces and asks which one to use when you have more than one.

Try asking:

  • “Which content library changes are waiting for review, and what do they change?”
  • “Summarize what customers asked our AI agent about this week.”
  • “Publish our help center.”

You stay connected without logging in again: the app renews its access in the background. A connection that is not used for 90 days expires, and you connect again the same way.

API keys keep working alongside connected apps, so existing integrations do not change.
